What makes Menstrudel different from other trackers?
Most period trackers sell your data or store it in the cloud. Menstrudel is 100% offline and open-source. We don't have accounts, we don't have ads, and we never see your data.
Is Menstrudel actually free to use?
Yes. Menstrudel is a community-driven project. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden fees. It is free forever.

What data can I track in the Menstrudel app?
Menstrudel allows you to log:
- Period dates and flow intensity
- Daily symptoms and custom logs

How accurate are Menstrudel's cycle predictions?
Menstrudel uses an on-device algorithm to analyse your historical cycle data. As you log more cycles, the predictions for your next period and fertile window become increasingly precise.
How do the Menstrudel sanitary product reminders work?
When you log a product change (like a tampon or cup), you can set a notification timer. The app will alert you when it is time for a change, helping you manage your health safely.
Does Menstrudel work on smartwatches?
Yes. Menstrudel has a dedicated Wear OS companion app. You can log your daily flow and check your cycle progress directly from your wrist.
Privacy & Security
Where is my Menstrudel data stored?
Your data stays on your device. It is stored in a local SQLite database that is never synced to any server. This is why the app works perfectly without an internet connection.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Since we don't use cloud accounts, you are in control. Use the Export feature to create a backup file, then Import that file on your new device to restore your history.
Can I lock Menstrudel with Face ID or Fingerprint?
Absolutely. You can enable biometric security (Fingerprint or Face ID) within the app settings to ensure your logs remain private even if someone else uses your phone.
